LONDON CENTRE of the

HSBC Bank UK Pensioners' Association

Over-60s concessions and money-savers

Free prescriptions and, for those resident within the London travel zone 6 boundary, the Freedom Pass are probably the two best known concessions available to the over 60's.  The Freedom Pass permits unlimited travel after 9.30.AM (9.00 on the Underground, Docklands Light Railway, trams and buses) within the zone and is a boon to mobility.  We thought that it would be of interest to members to see some of the other concessions available to us retired people.  Do please tell us if you know of any that we can include here, particularly any out of London concessions!  And of course, if you are not sure, ask first before paying the full rate!

If any concessions advised below are not as stated, please advise the Secretary.  This is the only way inaccuracies or errors can be corrected.

A new online magazine is available at www.over65magazine.co.uk.  It is called the Over65 Magazine and is downloadable as a PDF file on entering your name and email address. It says of itself: "Over 65 is a new publication, aimed as the title suggests, at mature readers who are young at heart. The magazine will be available monthly, and is free to download or view on line."
